A History of Financial Crises
The sixth edition highlights the four waves of credit bubbles in the last thirty years. Most of these countries that have experienced a bubble also have received money from abroad, which has led to an appreciation of their currencies and an increase in asset prices. Each of these bubbles has been followed by a crises as asset values have tumbled and bank loan losses have soared. The implosion of several of these bubbles has been followed by bubbles in some other countries.
